Bombardments resumed on Thursday evening between Israel and Hezbollah in several border regions in southern Lebanon, following a day marked by exchanges of fire despite a precarious morning calm.

Israeli artillery bombardments targeted various sites on the outskirts of the towns of Rmeich, Aita al-Shaab, Ramya, Beit Lif, Blida, and Naqoura. Fires broke out in the forests of Ramya and Aita al-Shaab after they were hit by incendiary shells. Late in the evening, members of a military ambulance miraculously escaped an Israeli raid less than 50 meters from the ambulances, in an area southeast of Tyre.

A UNIFIL patrol entered the town of Ramadi in the Tyre district without escort from the Lebanese army. Residents confronted and stopped it, preventing it from leaving until the army arrived on the scene.

Heavy Israeli shelling also took place near Project 800, outside El-Bouaida, in the Marjaayoun district, where 155 shells fell. Raids were carried out on Al-Bayada square, near the headquarters of the Lebanese army’s Fifth Brigade. Ambulance crews were dispatched after receiving reports of an injured soldier.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah announced in a communiqué that it had attacked two Merkava tanks, injuring their crews. An Israeli site in the occupied town of Honin was also targeted. Additionally, Hezbollah used a guided missile to target the Israeli Ramim barracks opposite the town of Markaba in the central sector of southern Lebanon. The Israeli army retaliated by firing shells on the outskirts of the towns of Hula and Markaba.

The pro-Iranian group also claimed to have targeted the Metula site with guided missiles. The Israeli army responded by bombing the Marjaayoun plain with phosphorus bombs.

It should be noted that peasants and farmers in southern Lebanon have suffered serious losses as a result of Israeli aggression, damaging their olive, citrus, and banana harvests.
