In response to the security developments on the southern border of Lebanon, the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, Gebran Bassil, posted on his “X” account: “While we support the right of Palestinian resistance to fight Israel on Palestinian land, we reject any use of Lebanese territory by any non-Lebanese party as a launching pad for war actions. No return to the era of ‘Fatah land’.”
