Once again, the Saydet el-Jabal Gathering lashed out at Hezbollah, accusing it of being an “agent of the Iranian occupation of Lebanon.”

Hezbollah “continues to trample on the Constitution by trying to impose a president outside the constitutional mechanisms in force, in the name of dialogue which has failed time and again,” reads a statement issued by Saydet el-Jabal on Monday at the end of its weekly meeting. “Its main aim is to gain time, against the interests of Lebanon and the Lebanese,” it added.

While discussing the capacity in which Hezbollah is preventing the election of a President of the Republic, the reopening of René Moawad airport of Qoleyat in Akkar, the border control, the handing over to justice of the assassins of former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and the opening of an investigation into other assassinations, the Saydet el-Jabal Gathering asserts that “the answer is one.” It insisted that Hezbollah “is doing so in its capacity as an agent of the Iranian occupation of Lebanon.”
