US Ambassador Dorothy Shea went to Tripoli, the capital of the North, on Wednesday to engage with community leaders, partners and beneficiaries from US-funded educational and socio-economic programs.

As published on the embassy’s social media platforms, Shea also visited the city’s historic souks. At the Farah Social Foundation, the Ambassador met girls from the “SHE in STEAM” program who are already applying the coding skills they are learning for robotic programming.

The Ambassador also visited a local soap maker, one of the many small enterprises that have received USAID funding. US assistance and funding are promoting economic growth, increasing access to clean energy and improving socio-economic conditions for people across Lebanon.
