The Head of the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Taymour Jumblatt, met with a Kataeb delegation on Wednesday at Clemenceau to discuss the presidential election deadlock and reform plans.

The delegation included MPs Samy Gemayel, Nadim Gemayel, Salim Sayegh, Elias Hankach, along with the Secretary-General of the party, Serge Dagher.

“The meeting was an occasion to discuss coordination in various fields, emphasizing the priority of electing a president for the country and launching the necessary procedures and reforms to address the financial, economic, and living crisis,” the Progressive Socialist Party said in a statement.

“This also includes adhering to the principles of reconciliation and consolidating them in all aspects of shared national life,” it added.

The meeting was also attended by members of the “Democratic Gathering” bloc, including MPs Akram Chehayeb, Hadi Abu al-Hasan, Bilal Abdullah, and Faisal Sayegh. The advisor to MP Jumblatt, Hussam Harb, was also in attendance, in addition to two members of the party’s leadership council, Marwa Abu Faraj and Kamel al-Ghossayni.
