Israel’s Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of two ships and several cargo planes with thousands of air and ground weapons and military equipment totaling 6,500 tons on Thursday. The ministry said the shipment was a part of the effort led by the Ministry of Defense to improve readiness for the ongoing war which has included 115,600 tons of military equipment since March 2.
The equipment was simultaneously loaded onto hundreds of trucks from the Transportation and Transportation Division in the Amon Division and the Technology and Logistics Division in the IDF and transported to IDF bases across the country.

In a global logistics operation, led by the US Department of Defense's procurement mission in the United States, the International Security Transportation Unit at the National Defense and Security Command, and the IDF Planning Division, two cargo ships docked at the Ashdod and Haifa ports, carrying thousands of air and ground weapons, military trucks, JLTV combat transport vehicles, and a great deal of additional equipment, the statement said.
Defense Minister Israel Katz added, "our job is to ensure that the IDF receives all the necessary means - so that it can once again act with full force against our enemies whenever and wherever necessary"
The Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram, supervised the large-scale logistics operation at the Ashdod Port. Since the beginning of Operation "Lion’s Roar", over 115,600 tons of military equipment have arrived in Israel in 403 flights and 10 landings.
Baram said, "at any given moment, cargo planes and ships are making their way to Israel with thousands of tons of ammunition and weapons. This is part of the Ministry of Defense's strategy to support all of the IDF's needs, both in massive resupply in the immediate term and in improving readiness for a decade of security.”
“The impressive procurement and transportation operation that we have completed will continue and intensify in the coming weeks," the Director General said.
Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed his statements saying, "the State of Israel is prepared at any moment to act against its enemies—in any arena and wherever necessary.”
“The air and naval fleet that is currently expanding strengthens the IDF's capabilities and its operational superiority,” he explained, stressing that the Ministry of Defense’s job was “to ensure that the IDF receives all the necessary means, so that it can once again act with full force against our enemies whenever and wherever necessary.”
“We will continue to strengthen capabilities and ensure that Israel has all the tools to protect its citizens and defeat its enemies," the minister said.
