3. Aoun Sends Well-Wishes to Al-Sharaa During Airspace Transit

Syrian state news agency SANA reported Tuesday that President Ahmad al-Sharaa received a diplomatic cable from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun as Aoun’s aircraft transited Syrian airspace on its way to the Sultanate of Oman. The gesture came as Damascus marked the first anniversary of its liberation from the former Assad regime.

In his message, Aoun conveyed his “sincere best wishes” to al-Sharaa and the Syrian people, adding: “As I pass through your country’s airspace on my way to the Sultanate of Oman, it gives me great pleasure to extend my sincere greetings. I pray that God grants you abundant health and enables you to continue leading your country toward safety and stability.”
