Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamiye asserted that Beirut International Airport (BIA) “continues to function normally” and that Middle East Airlines (MEA) is “still operating.”

“Embassies will always have the option to do so,” he added, noting that while some airlines have suspended their flights, “these decisions are theirs alone.”
