Two people were killed on Tuesday in an Israeli drone strike targeting a car on the Qulaila road in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

In parallel, the Israeli army renewed evacuation warnings on Tuesday afternoon for residents of Beirut’s southern suburbs for those living in Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Laylaki, Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh, Shiyah, and Tahwitat al-Ghadir.

The Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee urged residents of these areas to evacuate. “You must leave your homes and move away immediately until further notice,” he wrote, warning that “anyone who is near Hezbollah elements, their facilities or their combat equipment is putting their life at risk.”

South Lebanon

Across southern Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes and shelling targeted several villages and towns throughout the day, causing deaths and injuries. The Israeli army had earlier issued threats against two buildings in Abbasiyeh and Haret Saida before striking them. It also warned residents south of the Litani River to evacuate their homes immediately and move north of the river.

Since early Tuesday morning, the Lebanese Army (LAF) has closed the main road adjacent to the town of Ansariyeh following continued Israeli threats.

The towns of Aita al-Shaab, Ramyeh, Yaroun, Bint Jbeil, Qulaila, and Qabrikha were hit by Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling.

Earlier Tuesday, a car was struck in an air raid in Srifa. A LAF soldier, Khodor Shuqair from the town of Baraachit, was killed in a strike on his hometown.

Israeli warplanes also launched a series of raids from midnight until the early morning hours, targeting the towns of Harouf, where four people were wounded, Kfarsir in the Nabatieh district, as well as Deir Antar and Shaqra in the Bint Jbeil district.

Meanwhile, the town of Nmiriyeh woke up to the aftermath of a deadly Israeli strike carried out the previous night, which killed eight people according to the latest toll.

In the Jezzine district, Israeli aircraft also struck the al-Rayhan heights.

In the Western Bekaa, Israeli warplanes carried out raids on the heights of Ain al-Tineh.

Hezbollah

Hezbollah said earlier that violent clashes erupted Tuesday at dawn after Israeli forces attempted to advance on the southern outskirts of the city of Khiam in southern Lebanon.

In separate statements, Hezbollah said it targeted overnight the Tziporit base east of Haifa.

Tuesday at dawn, the group said it struck several Israeli military positions and troop gatherings, including in the Khanouq area in Aitaroun, the Kahil hill on the eastern outskirts of Maroun al-Ras, a newly established position in Markaba with a rocket salvo, the al-Malikiya site opposite the border town of Aitaroun, an artillery position near the Marj site opposite Markaba, the Tel Hashomer base southeast of Tel Aviv, the Giva drone control base east of Acre, the Yiftah barracks, a newly established site on Jabal al-Bat in Aitaroun, and an artillery position near the al-Abbad site.

Hezbollah also said it confronted an attempted advance by Israeli forces on the southern outskirts of Khiam near the detention center, adding that it lured Israeli troops into an ambush and targeted them with appropriate weapons. The pro-Iranian group further claimed it targeted an Israeli force attempting to infiltrate toward the border town of Houla at the al-Abbad site.

It added that it fired rockets at an Israeli troop gathering on Kahil hill on the eastern outskirts of Maroun al-Ras.
