For the second time in one week, Israeli artillery targeted Lebanese Army positions in the south on Friday, but luckily no casualties were reported.
Israel targeted Lebanese Army posts in Naqoura and the southern town of Ein Ebel, following a day of heavy clashes between Israeli and Hezbollah forces.
First, the Lebanese Army reported on "X" the targeting of its hospital in Ein Ebel, resulting in material damage but no casualties.
Then it announced that its position, Naqoura, was also hit. One soldier was slightly injured, and two others experienced suffocation from the heavy smoke.
During the day, the towns of Zebqine, Jbaa, Baiyad Valley, Hula, Markaba, Blida, Aita al-Shaab, Ramya, Khiam, Odaisseh, Blida, and Aitaroun were subjected to heavy Israeli artillery shelling in response to Hezbollah’s attacks.
An inhabitant of Rachaya al-Foukhar, Masoud Abdullah, was injured, along with another individual in al-Bustan.
The Israeli Army also launched intense shelling on the outskirts of Majdal Salim, Wadi al-Maghara, and Wadi al-Saluqi.
Phosphorus shells targeted Rmeish once again. The border town of Hula was hit by intense machine gun rounds launched from nearby Israeli Army sites.
Simultaneously, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over all southern sectors, reaching Tyre and the Litani River.
The residential areas along the border were all heavily damaged, with shellings hitting homes and agricultural lands.
As retaliation, Hezbollah declared targeting the Israeli Army sites in Muskaaf, along with those in Ma'arab Khirbet, Ruwaysat al-Ilm, and the Shebaa Farms, using rocket weapons.
The militant group also announced the targeting of the Abbad and Metat barracks overlooking the town of Rmeish.
Amidst the conflict, Hezbollah confirmed the death of four of its fighters.
