Funeral held for Israeli hostage as general strike called

A general strike is underway in Israel on Monday, after the bodies of six hostages were recovered from the Gaza strip the day before. The country’s largest labor union, Histadrut, had threatened to shut down the entire country. The strikes are set to run until Monday evening. The strike is the largest in Israel since March 2023.
