The Lebanese national basketball team is preparing to take part in the Olympic basketball qualifying tournament to be held in Valencia, Spain, from July 2 to 7, 2024. The Lebanese team will face Spain and Angola in the tournament.

The winner of each FIBA 2024 Olympic Qualification Tournament will earn a ticket to the 2024 Olympic Basketball Tournament in Paris, joining the seven teams already qualified, namely Germany, Serbia, Canada, USA, Australia, Japan, and South Sudan, as well as hosts France.

A total of 24 teams will take part in the qualifying tournaments, 19 of which qualified for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. The qualifying tournaments are being held in Piraeus, Greece; Riga, Latvia; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Valencia, Spain.

Lebanon will have to beat Spain and Angola to finish top of Group A and advance to the next phase of the Olympic qualifying tournament. The Cedars will then have to face the winner of Group B, which will be either Finland, Poland, or the Bahamas.

These are indeed two very tough matches awaiting the Lebanese team, but the players are determined to give their all to proudly represent their country at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
