The Israeli army announced on Monday the death of “an Israeli soldier killed this morning in a Hezbollah drone attack in western Galilee”.

According to the Israeli army, “five explosive-laden drones were launched from Lebanon during the attack, three of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome”.

The other two drones fell near Gesher HaZiv and the Yaara barracks.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it “targeted a military position”.

The pro-Iranian group also announced the death of two fighters. Earlier in the day, an Israeli strike on Hula resulted in two fatalities.
