Hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel escalated from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.

Two Hezbollah fighters, Mohammad Jamil al-Shami and Ali Ahmad Hmade, were killed in an Israeli strike on Kfar Kila at dawn.

The residents of the villages of Marjayoun, particularly Khiam and Kfar Kila, faced a harrowing night. Between 8:00 PM on Wednesday and 4:00 AM on Thursday, over 100 artillery and phosphorus shells rained down on the southern neighborhood of Khiam. The village was also targeted by six airstrikes. The Israeli Army later reported that its fighter jets had bombed Hezbollah sites in Khiam, including infrastructure and two military buildings.

In addition, two drones launched missiles into the town square of Kfar Kila. Heavy machine guns from the Metula site also hit the area.

Simultaneously, the outskirts of the villages of al-Dhaira, al-Bustan, Aita al-Shaab, and the outskirts of Deir Mimas, as well as the road connecting Kfar Kila to Deir Mimas, Tallet el-Aziyeh, and Tallet el-Awida (between Kfar Kila and Odaisseh), were fired upon from an Israeli Army position in Birkat Risha.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on the Metula position at dawn on Thursday, while the Israeli Army was reportedly attempting to remove targeted military equipment from the same site on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Israeli media reports indicated that the number of people injured in Hezbollah’s strike on Arab Aramsha on Wednesday had reached 19.
