Exchanges of fire continued intermittently on the Lebanese-Israeli border on Friday.

Israel shelled the villages of Hula and Wadi el-Bayad, while an interceptor missile from Israel’s Iron Dome defense system reportedly exploded in the air near the Naqoura border.

Al-Jazeera reported that alarm sirens were sounding in the settlement of Margaliot and Upper Galilee, near the border with Lebanon. Israeli Channel 12 also reported the detection of two missiles fired from Lebanon in the direction of the Margaliot settlement in Galilee.

In addition, the Israeli army launched an interceptor missile towards a suspicious target over the sea, opposite the settlement of Liman in western Galilee.

On another note, the Israeli army reportedly attacked an aircraft landing base belonging to Hezbollah and Iran in Kalaat Jabr, southern Lebanon, on Thursday. This base, located some 20 kilometers from the Israeli border, was allegedly used by Hezbollah to carry out air attacks against Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post. Last September, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant revealed photos of the base.
