The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and the Israeli Army resumed on Tuesday morning in southern Lebanon, after a tumultuous night.

In a first such incident, interceptor missile fragments landed near the Yater public school (Bint Jbeil), terrifying the students who were in class. Fragments of the missile, which exploded above Yater, fell on the director’s car. Civil defense teams evacuated the school.

A drone attack targeted a house in Khiam, damaging its outer courtyard. Shrapnel shells hit neighboring houses, but no one was injured.

Another house in Khiam was also targeted by a phosphorus shell, causing a fire and material damage.

In recent days, Israeli attacks have intensified in residential areas. To note, a neighborhood was completely destroyed on Sunday in Aitaroun, and the mukhtar of Taybeh, Hussein Mansour, was killed on Monday following an Israeli artillery bombardment.

The Israeli Army bombed sites in southern Lebanon, including the outskirts of Aitaroun, in retaliation for an attack claimed by Hezbollah against the Malkiya position. Israeli Army spokesman Daniel Hagari stated on his X account that the rockets landed in an open area.

At the same time, Israeli surveillance aircraft flew over the area of Iqlim al-Tuffah.

An air raid also targeted the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab, and artillery bombardments targeted forested areas.

In addition, fire from the Israeli position at Roueissat Al-Alam hit the vicinity of the Lebanese Army position on the outskirts of Kfarchouba.

By Monday night, the Israeli Army had widened the circle of attacks on the eastern sector in southern Lebanon, from Tallet al-Hamames, Sahl al-Khiam, and Sahl al-Mari, via Ghajar (Hasbaya caza), to the outskirts of Ferdais, Kfar Hamam, Hebbariyeh, and Kfarchouba.

It should be noted that the Israeli Army carried out air strikes and fired phosphorus shells, concentrating on forest areas and olive groves in the region. Flares were also fired at border areas.

Hezbollah retaliated by targeting the Sammaka and Roueissat al-Alam positions inside the Shebaa Farms, as well as other Israeli military positions in the Upper Galilee settlements.

At the same time, intensive fighter and surveillance flights in the airspace of the border regions continued until dawn.

On the Israeli side, missiles fired from Lebanon towards Galilee (northern Israel) were intercepted, according to the Al-Arabiya channel. Alarm sirens went off in the western Galilee due to suspected drone infiltration.

Israeli media have reported that Hezbollah attacks are becoming more intense and precise, indicating that anti-tank missiles and rockets are continually being launched towards settlements adjacent to the border with Lebanon, such as Metoula, Shtula, and Kiryat Shmona.
