Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated on Monday, “The decision to go to war is in the hands of Israel, which continues to violate borders and commit provocative acts,” stressing that the Lebanese people do not want war.
Mikati further added that Lebanon is currently in the eye of the storm, and he is striving to prevent it from plunging into war.
“We demand an end to Israeli provocations at the border. The Lebanese people do not want war,” Mikati told Sky News, adding that “if Lebanon were to go to war, it would not be confined to it alone, but the entire region would plunge into chaos.”
