Lebanon’s official secondary school exams (Baccalaureate) began on Wednesday morning across all regions.
Minister of Education Rima Karami is set to inspect several exam centers in Beirut to monitor proceedings.
Exams started at 7:30 AM at ministry-approved centers, under the supervision of designated monitors and ministry delegates. Security forces and local municipalities coordinated efforts to secure school surroundings and facilitate students’ access.
Students demonstrated strong compliance with exam regulations. The Lebanese Red Cross also deployed teams at various centers to provide medical support if necessary.
In a prior statement, the ministry emphasized strict measures to guarantee exam integrity and transparency, reiterating the ban on electronic communication devices in exam halls.
The exams will run for several days following a detailed schedule for each branch, with results expected to be released in the coming weeks.
