Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Naim Kassem asserted on Saturday that “we (Hezbollah) are at the heart of the battle today and are making accomplishments.”

“Let it be clear, as events unfold and circumstances require our greater intervention, we will do so. Let the enemy know that we are ready and present,” he said.

He stated that the surprises in Gaza “will turn the Israeli ground invasion into a graveyard for Israelis,” offering advice “to Israel and those behind it: you were defeated in the worst defeat in the al-Aqsa Flood, so content yourselves with it to avoid facing another one.”

“Are you aware that three divisions exist in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah and five divisions exist against Gaza?” he asked. “If Hezbollah were not part of this confrontation, all these divisions would be there,” he added.

Kassem pointed out that “the resistance must be present, and it has the right to fight, confront, liberate, otherwise the land cannot be reclaimed, and Palestine and Jerusalem cannot be liberated,” accusing “America and the West of supporting criminal Israel in the massacres it commits, making them partners in every building that falls and every martyr who rises.”

“The claims made by the West that they are advocates of the two-state solution are nothing but smoke and mirrors,” he said.

Kassem claims that “the resistance is no longer a party or a group; the resistance is the entirety of the population in our region.”
