Hundreds gathered in several areas across the capital to protest against the Israeli attack on Al-Ahly hospital in Gaza, where hundreds lost their lives or were injured. These people went to the American Embassy in Awkar and the French Embassy in Beirut.
In Awkar, protesters attempted to force their way towards the embassy before the heavily deployed law enforcement personnel at the scene used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd.
In Beirut, dozens of demonstrators gathered outside the main entrance to the French Embassy on Damascus Street. Pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli slogans were chanted and stones thrown.
