A precarious calm prevails along the southern Lebanese-israeli border around mid-day today, Thursday, October 12.

On the Lebanese side and in coordination with UNIFIL forces, the Lebanese Army, intensified patrols and established fixed and fortified observation points along this line to monitor the situation.

However, this calm is sporadically disrupted by intense Israeli warplanes flying along the border, accompanied by reconnaissance helicopters conducting missions over the Shebaa farms, Arqoub and Hasbaya.

During the night, Israel launched illuminating bombs along this axis, especially over the border fence adjacent to the Mtella settlement.

This settlement had witnessed both mechanical and human reinforcements, even within its confrontational homes facing Marjayoun, the Wazani Triangle, the Gajar Mari and the Hamam Hills, on the outskirts of the town of Khiam.

Similar reinforcements were also reported in all northern settlements in Galilee, from which settlers evacuated to safer areas, amidst a strong mobilization of Israeli soldiers near the Lebanese border.
