The Executive Council of the Union of Employees of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) announced in a statement on Wednesday that all employees will observe a total strike on Thursday 27, and Monday 31 July, to press for salary increase.

The union also called on employees to go to work twice a week only, every Tuesday and Wednesday, starting Aug 1 and until further notice.

NSSF employees have been calling for a review of their remuneration in view of rampant inflation and skyrocketing cost of living.
