With its new campus in Cyprus, the renowned American University of Beirut makes its way to Europe. This is a first for a Middle Eastern university. This momentous event in higher education was officially announced on June 7th during a ceremony in Paphos. The participants, including Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, the 16th President of AUB, Dr. Fadlo Khuri, and the rector of the new AUB Mediterraneo campus, Dr. Wassim El Hajj, together inaugurated a new chapter in a history that began over 150 years ago.
