“Le Souk Solidaire”, organized by the staff representatives of the French Embassy in Lebanon in collaboration with France volonteers and with the logistical support of the French Institute of Lebanon, was launched Friday.
It aims to promote solidarity and local development in Lebanon by offering NGOs and local artisans a platform to exhibit and sell their products in a fair-trade manner. Around forty NGOs working to preserve craft trades and help the underprivileged have been selected to take part in the market!
In a festive, warm, and above all, jovial atmosphere, visitors of all ages discovered local products, exchanged ideas with exhibitors, and took part in cultural activities.
