Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati charged Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib with representing Lebanon at the Brussels Conference on the Syrian Refugees scheduled to be held next week. He will head to Belgium with a unified worksheet on behalf of the Lebanese Cabinet.

Bou Habib met with Mikati today, June 7, at the Grand Serail.

“We discussed the inner workings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Lebanon’s participation in the Brussels Convention and the worksheet to be presented,” Bou Habib said as he left the Serail.

When asked about the issue of the Lebanese Ambassador to France Ramy Adwan, Bou Habib said that he is cautiously handling the situation and that an investigative committee headed by the ministry’s director general and accompanied by the director of the inspection department, has been dispatched to Paris. The committee landed in Paris on Tuesday, June 6.
