Iranian State TV announced another round of strikes against Israel and U.S. bases on Sunday morning.
Iranian media stated that Iran is targeting 27 U.S. bases in the Middle East and sites in Israel linked to its military and defense.
State media declared that the attacks were set in motion to retaliate against the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Saturday morning’s joint U.S.-Israeli strikes.
Sirens have sounded across central Israel and the West Bank as the Israeli army intercepts missiles and drones launched by Iran.
Loud explosions were reported by the Erbil airport in the Kurdistan region of Iraq with smoke rising from the site. This area hosts U.S. personnel, and on Saturday, U.S. forces utilized assets in this area to strike down missiles and drones passing over Iraq.
Additional explosions were reported across several Gulf countries on Sunday morning as well, including in Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, and Manama. Residential buildings in Manama were targeted by Iranian drones.
