Khamenei Has Been Killed in Iran Strikes, Israeli Media Reports

A senior Israeli official said that Ayatollah Khamenei has been killed in strikes in Tehran, Israel’s N12 News reports.

According to AFP, Israeli media has reported that a photo of Khamenei's body was shown to Trump and Netanyahu, according to Axios’ Barak Ravid

Khamenei’s body has reportedly been found and recovered in his compound and, according to the source. The senior official declared Khamenei as “eliminated.”

On Saturday in a speech, Netanyahu stated that "this morning, in a powerful surprise strike, the compound of the tyrant Ali Khamenei was destroyed in the heart of Tehran," Netanyahu said in a televised statement."There are growing signs that Khamenei is no longer around," he said, after a series of over 30 strikes on Khamenei’s compound, resulting in his reported death.

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter informed U.S. officials of Khamenei’s death.

Netanyahu also added that the joint U.S.-Israeli attacks will last "as long as necessary" and “will strike thousands of targets of the terror regime.”

The Iranian constitution’s Article 111 states that a council composed of the president, the judiciary chief, and a Guardian Council cleric serves as interim leadership in the case of a Supreme Leader’s death

U.S. officials have not yet confirmed Khamenei’s death, waiting for government confirmation.
