The Israeli army carried out several airstrikes on Sunday in southern and eastern Lebanon, killing at least one person and wounding another, according to an initial toll.
In southern Lebanon, the strikes hit the towns of Kherbet Selm and Kfardounine in the Bint Jbeil district. A hangar that had already been targeted in previous operations was struck again. Search efforts are ongoing to locate any possible missing persons, the daily An-Nahar reported.
In eastern Lebanon, Israeli aircraft struck the Al-Shaara area near Nabi Sheet, as well as Al-Khuraybeh, near the Lebanese-Syrian border. Intensive drone overflights were reported in several regions of eastern Lebanon.
For its part, the Israeli army said it had targeted a building in Bir al-Sanasel (south), which it claimed was being used by Hezbollah members to manufacture combat equipment. It also said it had struck Hezbollah military infrastructure in the Bekaa region.
