Israel struck the northern Bekaa Valley on Friday, causing material damage but no reported casualties. The first strike hit the public road linking Majdaloun and Baalbek with two missiles, while the second targeted a site near Dar Al-Amal Hospital in Baalbek.
Local reports said the Baalbek strikes were aimed at a military official affiliated with a Palestinian faction. According to Al-Markazia news agency, this marked the third Israeli attempt over the past year to target the same individual in different locations.
Meanwhile, tensions escalated in southern Lebanon, where an Israeli tank advanced from a newly established position in Hamam and opened fire on a Lebanese Army (LAF) unit conducting a field mission alongside UNIFIL forces near Wadi al-Asafir, south of Khiam.
Israeli troops also carried out machine-gun sweeping operations on the outskirts of Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district, while an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb over the town of Markaba.
Earlier Friday, Israeli forces conducted a combing operation from the Rahib site, firing machine guns toward the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab. Separately, an Israeli patrol threw a stun grenade near a civilian home in the town of Blida.
