A new wave of Israeli airstrikes hit multiple areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley on Friday morning, targeting a training camp and Hezbollah positions in the region.

The strikes reportedly focused on the villages of Jarmak, Mahmoudiyeh, Jabal Rafih (Jezzine), Jabal Safi (Nabatieh), the outskirts of Soujoud in Iqlim al-Tuffah, and the areas connecting Ansar, Zrariyeh, Jbaa, Armata, and Jabal Rihane. In the western Bekaa, additional raids targeted Wadi Zalaya. Low-altitude flights were also observed over the Bekaa Valley and Baalbek. Meanwhile, an Israeli drone reportedly dropped a sound bomb near the outskirts of Labbouneh (Tyre).

In a statement following the strikes, the Israeli Army announced that it had targeted a Hezbollah training camp in southern Lebanon for the second time in recent days. According to the army’s Arabic-speaking spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, the raids “struck a training and qualification compound used by Hezbollah's Radwan Force to conduct training and courses for the organization's terrorists.”  A similar strike had been carried out earlier this week on another Hezbollah camp.

The Israeli Army noted that operatives at the camps were undergoing weapons training and familiarizing themselves with various types of arms, aimed at planning and executing attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

“As part of this operation, additional Hezbollah military infrastructure in several areas of southern Lebanon was also targeted,” Adraee said, adding that such activities “constitute a violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon” and emphasizing that the Israeli Army “will continue to act to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.”
