Elon Musk Expresses Interest in Investing in Lebanon’s Tech Sector

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has voiced interest in establishing a presence for his companies in Lebanon, according to a statement released on Thursday by the Lebanese Presidency.

In a phone conversation with President Joseph Aoun, Musk reportedly expressed his willingness to engage in Lebanon’s telecommunications and internet sectors. The statement noted that Musk conveyed a broader interest in the country’s tech landscape.

For his part, President Aoun welcomed Musk’s interest and emphasized Lebanon’s readiness to provide the necessary support in accordance with national laws and regulations.

The call concluded with Aoun extending an invitation to Musk to visit Beirut. Musk, in turn, thanked the president and said he intends to accept the invitation at the earliest opportunity.
