The Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced the arrest of a minor accused of sexually harassing underage girls during a school activity in Mansourieh, according to an official statement from the ISF’s Public Relations Division.

On May 20, two citizens reported to the Brummana branch of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit that their daughters had been harassed by an unidentified individual while participating in a school event held at an open playground.

Following a swift investigation, which included the review of surveillance footage from the event location, ISF officers were able to identify three suspects. Further inquiries, in coordination with the site administrators, led to the identification and arrest of the primary suspect on the same day.

The individual, identified as R.H. (born in 2008), a Lebanese national and recently hired employee, was detained and questioned in the presence of a juvenile protection officer. While he initially denied any involvement, he later confessed to harassing several girls while they participated in zip-lining activities.

Legal procedures were promptly initiated, and the case was transferred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation, under the direction of the competent judiciary.

The ISF commended the bravery of the families in coming forward and urged the public to report any similar incidents to help prevent further abuse and protect vulnerable individuals.
