A blue Mercedes vehicle was targeted by an Israeli drone on the Khardali road, connecting Nabatiyeh to Marjayoun, on Saturday morning. One person was killed and several others injured. The identity of the victim remains unknown.

Two explosions were also heard Saturday morning in the village of Kfar Kila, in further Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement signed on November 27 to end hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel. Violent blasts were also heard in Mays al-Jabal.

In Khiam, work to reopen roads is continuing in the wake of the Israeli army's withdrawal from the village, enabling Lebanese soldiers and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to be repositioned in the area.

The village of Khiam, in southern Lebanon, was the scene of violent clashes between Hezbollah and the Israeli army. Intense fighting broke out as Israeli forces attempted to penetrate further into the area, resulting in sporadic firefights and attacks. In the aftermath of the ceasefire agreement, and after several days of rising tensions, the Israeli army finally carried out a strategic withdrawal from the locality. Since then, the Lebanese authorities have intensified their efforts to reopen the roads and restore normalcy, while monitoring security developments in the area.
