Israeli Army spokesperson Avichae Adraee stated on x on Saturday morning that the Israeli Army “eliminated the commander of the Coastal Sector in Hezbollah, Mouin Ezzedine, and the artillery commander in the sector, who was also responsible for firing rockets towards the outskirts of Haifa last Thursday, in Tyre region.” He did not specify where he was killed.
This announcement came amidst intensified attacks on both sides from the Lebanese-Israeli border during the night and then again in the morning on Saturday.
Hezbollah mainly intensified its missile attacks on the northern parts of Israel, targeting in the morning areas close to Israeli officials’ hometowns, according to the TV channel al-Hadath.
At least 19 people were injured during the night in the town of Tira in Israel after a rocket hit a building, according to Israeli authorities, as reported by Agence-France Press.
Videos posted by the Israeli Foreign ministry on social media showed fire and smoke spilling from a building into the street and emergency responders swarming the site.
"This is the result of a direct hit of a Hezbollah rocket on a building in the Israeli Arab town of Tira, injuring 19 civilians," the ministry said in the post.
Meanwhile, the escalation between Hezbollah and Israel continues, leading to the most violent raids and a rise in casualties.
