Israeli airstrikes targeted southern Lebanon relentlessly on Monday. Several towns and villages were heavily bombarded, including Abbasiya in the Tyre district and the border town of Yarine. Moreover, an air raid on a house in Khirbet Selm resulted in one death. A fire station belonging to the Islamic Health Authority in Braachit was hit, killing eight people so far. Other affected areas included Arnon, the forests near Naqoura, Alma al-Shaab, Jabal al-Lubna, the outskirts of Abbasiya and Tura, the Faris al-Battah area between Douair and Sharqieh, and the towns of Ansar, Kouthariyeh al-Rass, Naqoura, Qlayleh, Mansouri, Jib Suweid and the outskirts of Majdel Zoun, along with over 30 villages and towns in the Tyre district. Additionally, Israeli warplanes targeted the area around the Medrar Medical Complex in Shoukin and conducted a heavy strike on the Majadel plain. A series of airstrikes hit the area between Old Saraya in Nabatieh and Jabal al-Rweiss al-Shaqif, including Jannata, Tair Debba, Kafra, Maarakeh, Shihebiyeh, Mharouna, Naffakhiyah, Kafr Dunin, Meshghara and Zarariya.

Meanwhile, airstrikes targeted Beirut’s southern suburb, hitting the vicinity of Cocodi and Ain al-Delbe. According to Israeli sources, the strikes aimed at a technical officer in Hezbollah's General Staff.

Hezbollah Attacks

On the other hand, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for five attacks today. They targeted a “gathering of Israeli forces in the Maroun al-Ras Park with a rocket salvo” and hit a group of Israeli forces behind the Rmeish gate. They also launched a large rocket salvo at the Kiryat group north of Haifa, struck the Karmiel settlement, and targeted a gathering of Israeli forces on the Al-Qala heights in the town of Blida.

Israeli Drone Activity

Heavy Israeli drone activity continues over Beirut and the southern suburbs at low altitudes, having been present since early morning.

Public Health Emergency Statements

A statement from the Public Health Emergency Operations Center condemned Israel’s targeting of firefighters and rescue personnel in southern Lebanon, calling it a war crime. A brutal airstrike on the Union of Municipalities building in Braachit resulted in the deaths of firefighters preparing for rescue operations. The strike caused significant destruction, with at least 10 firefighters confirmed dead and ongoing efforts to remove debris.

Another statement from the Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported that Israeli airstrikes yesterday across southern Lebanon, Nabatieh, Beqaa, Baalbeck-Hermel and Mount Lebanon led to the deaths of 22 people and injured 111.

The total death toll since the beginning of the aggression has risen to 2,083 killed and 9,869 wounded.

Notably, members of the Islamic Health Authority Civil Defense worked to reopen the main road in the town of Ansar, which connects it to Nabatieh on one side and the Tyre area on the other. The road had been blocked by stones and debris as a result of an airstrike targeting the buildings and shops adjacent to it.
