An Israeli drone strike on Friday targeted a vehicle on the Saida-Tyr highway near Phoenicia University, killing reporter and photographer Mohammad Chehade.
Ambulance teams retrieved Chehade’s body from the targeted vehicle and transported it to a nearby hospital.

According to a statement by the Israeli Army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, Chehade was supposedly “an intelligence officer in Hezbollah's Radwan Force.”

An Israeli drone also targeted an excavator in Al-Mahafer, in the town of Aitaroun. Shortly afterward, the Israeli army dropped leaflets claiming that the targeted vehicle was being used on behalf of Hezbollah.
Earlier on Friday, the Lebanese Army (LAF) announced that “between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM Friday” one of its units would conduct controlled detonations of unexploded ordnance in the Qlayaa field, Marjayoun.
