Israeli Drone Strikes Tyre City for the First Time
Israel further expanded its attacks on Lebanese territory on Wednesday morning, targeting for the first time the main city of Tyre, hours after a series of strikes hit the region of Baalbeck in eastern Lebanon.

An Israeli drone fired rockets at a car on the Al-Hawsh road south of the city, killing two persons and injuring one, according to This is Beirut's correspondent.

Hamas announced that one of its members was killed in the strike on Tyre. He was identified as Hadi Mustafa, a resident of the adjacent Palestinian refugee camp of Rashidiyeh.

Ambulances rushed to the scene.

The charred body of an individual whose identity has not yet been identified was removed from the targeted car.


On the ground on Tuesday evening, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over villages in the Tyre district, causing panic and smashing the windows of a number of houses in the localities of Siddiqin and Qana.

Also, during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the Israeli army fired a number of heavy artillery shells at the suburbs of Dhayra, Tayr Harfa, Shamaa and Aita al-Shaab, while reconnaissance aircraft flew over villages in the western and central sectors as far as the Litani river.

Incendiary bombs were also dropped on Mount Labbouneh and flares lit up the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.
