Retired Military Personnel Staged New Sit-Ins in Tripoli and Saida
Retired military personnel staged on Thursday a sit-in in front of governmental and financial administration in the cities of Sidon and Tyre in the south of Lebanon, while a group of them blocked the road in front of the Tripoli Serail towards Al-Bahsas in the north.

“Negotiations with the government have been halted as of nine o'clock this morning (Thursday morning), after we presented a proposal based on justice that the government did not respond to,” they said.

A couple of weeks ago, the retired military personnel reaffirmed their previous decision “to gather and protest outside the grand serail to block ministers from participating in a cabinet meeting scheduled on Thursday.” The protesters have vowed to maintain their protests “until achieving justice and equality.”
