As clashes resumed in South Lebanon on the morning of Wednesday, October 25, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reaffirmed its commitment to reducing tensions.
Unifil Head of Mission and Force Commander Aroldo Lázaro stated on his account on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that “our peacekeepers remain in their positions and always on task. Our work continues, including patrols, but especially our essential work with the parties to deconflict and reduce tensions in our area of responsibility.”

On the ground, an Israeli surveillance plane fired two missiles on the Kfarshouba village while an Israeli drone targeted a farm in Bastara, where a Lebanese army and UNIFIL patrol were stationed, without causing any injuries. UNIFIL spokesman Andrea Tenenti denied that a patrol had been hit along the Blue Line.
For its part, Hezbollah bombed the Israeli Jal El Alam site, located opposite the Naqoura region. It also announced the death of three of its fighters on Wednesday morning.
