Caretaker Foreign Affairs Minister Abdallah Bou Habib urged on Tuesday, October 17, all UNIFIL ambassadors to assist in calming the situation along the southern borders, as he emphasized the need for Israel to stop the shelling, especially considering that “Lebanon’s response has been limited to the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.”

Bou Habib continued his consultative diplomatic meetings, which he had started on Monday with the aim of preventing any escalation in the region.

He met in the morning with several ambassadors representing countries involved in the international emergency forces operating in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL).
