According to a source in the Likud party, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the National Unity party leader, Benny Gantz, have reportedly reached a deal on the formation of an emergency government.
Information indicates that the arrangement includes Netanyahu, Defense Minister Gallant, and Gantz as members of the war cabinet. Gadi Eizenkot, a member of Gantz’s party and former IDF Chief of Staff, as well as Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, will have observer roles in the setup.
The authorities of the regular security cabinet, as specified by law, will remain unchanged. Gantz’s party will have five ministers without portfolios in this cabinet.
