Lava Flows from Italy's Mount Etna in Nighttime Eruption

Volcanic activity at Mount Etna in southern Italy has intensified during a nighttime eruption. Explosions and ash emissions have increased, mainly from the summit craters. A lava flow emerging from a fracture at the base of the Bocca Nuova crater is now splitting the side of the volcano in two and continues to expand.
