Table tennis players from India took three titles on the final day of the Beirut International Table Tennis Tournament.

Hong Kong and Taiwan took one title each.

No fewer than 250 male and female players representing 52 countries took part in this major sporting event.

Organized by the Lebanese Table Tennis Federation under the aegis of the International Federation, the competition took place in the halls of Beirut’s al-Kawthar secondary school.

 

Here are the results of the final matches:

– Men’s singles: Shuang Xie Yuan (Taiwan) beat Kirill Gerasimenko (Kazakhstan) (3-1).

– Men’s doubles: Manush Otal Bhahi Sahah and Manav Vikash Thakar (India) beat Modit Dani and Akash Pal (India) (3-1).

– Mixed doubles: Akash Pal and Boyaminti Paysia (India) beat Sathyan Gnanasekaran and Manika Batra (India) (3-1).

– Women’s singles: Sreeja Akula (India) beat Sarah De Nuit (Luxembourg) (3-1).

– Women’s doubles: Do Huai Kim and Zuo Xingzuo (Hong Kong) beat Sreeja Akula and Dia Parag Sheetall (India) (3-1).

The international youth competition starts on Tuesday. Around 100 players of different nationalities are taking part in this competition.
