Following a violent night in Beirut’s southern suburbs, several regions in Lebanon came under Israeli attack on Wednesday.

An Israeli raid took place in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday morning, near Choueifat.

The villages of Zaoutar, Debel, Haouch, Ramadiya, Deir Kanoun, Markaba, Ras al-Ain and Froun were targeted. Three people were killed in Debel.

Heavy clashes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese town of Odaisseh on Wednesday resulted in the death of four Israeli soldiers and injuries to 20 others, according to preliminary reports.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they had forced Israeli troops to retreat after infiltrating Lebanese territory.

The confrontation occurred just 200 meters from the Israeli town of Misgav Am, which has been under threat of rocket fire.

Hezbollah

Hezbollah has launched multiple salvos of rockets into Israel throughout Wednesday, with at least 20 rockets aimed at the Haifa Bay region and 30 more at the Galilee, most of which were intercepted. Around 100 rockets have been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel since this morning, according to the Israeli army.

In response, the Israeli air force intensified its airstrikes across southern Lebanon, targeting villages including Debbin, Marjayoun, Khiam and Nabatiyeh.
