Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati received ambassadors from certain permanent and non-permanent members of the Security Council at the Grand Serail on Friday.
These included the ambassadors to the United States, France, Great Britain, China, Russia, Algeria, Japan, Switzerland and South Korea.
Emphasis was placed on Lebanon’s positions with regard to the regional situation, including the priority of implementing United Nations resolutions, in particular 1701.
The meeting was attended by the caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdallah Bou Habib, Ambassador Boutros Assaker and Ziad Mikati.
