The CMA CGM Foundation turned the “knowledge container” into a mobile educational space, a first in Lebanon! Thus, 2,000 children, aged between three and 15, will be welcomed and introduced to the Tabshoura digital platform by 50 educational facilitators, trained on the Lalmoudaress educator support platform. This initiative is a unique concept that promotes access to education.

The “knowledge container” is a 20-foot container fully turned into a mobile learning space by the CMA CGM Foundation, thanks to the logistical and technical expertise of their teams, with the help of Lebanese architecture students of the Design for Communities organization.

The management of this container helps organize interactive training sessions on the use of the Tabshoura and Lalmoudaress platforms in open space. These digital platforms were developed by the Lebanese Alternative Leaning (LAL) organization that consists of educators, creative minds and technological innovators who perceive technology as an equalizing force for education.

Moreover, the “knowledge container” will travel across Lebanon to help children and teenagers, aged between three and 15, from all areas, to have access to Tabshoura. It departed from Tripoli, after having spent three weeks there, and is currently in Hadath for the same duration. This program will be accessible for all.

The platform offers free courses that align with the Lebanese preschool and complementary curriculum, in Arabic, English and French. It also offers the possibility to learn both online and offline and guarantees a continuous and flexible learning process.

According to the president of the CMA CGM foundation Tanya Saade Zeenny, “Promoting (access to) education for all is a top priority. This ‘knowledge container’ represents a unique concept developed by the CMA CGM teams. It transformed a container into an educational space in association with the Lebanese Alternative Leaning (LAL) organization. It reflects our commitment to finding innovative, sustainable and free solutions for Lebanese students.”

On the other hand, director of the LAL Nayla Zreik Fahed stated, “We are very proud of launching this unique educational project, which wouldn’t have seen the light without the support of the CMA CGM foundation and the ongoing efforts of the LAL team members. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the LAL, and the ‘knowledge container’ added a new dimension to our educational mission.”

Founded in 2005 and chaired by Tanya Saade Zeenny, the CMA CGM foundation is driven by the sense of responsibility, the spirit of solidarity and the passion for entrepreneurship. The foundation focuses on two fields of action: humanitarian aid and education for all.
