One Israeli soldier was killed, and at least eleven others were wounded – two of them seriously – in a Hezbollah drone and missile strike on a military camp in Hurfeish, Upper Galilee.

Hezb confirmed the attack, stating that it targeted a gathering of Israeli army in the Baram forest in retaliation for the Israeli raid on Tuesday in Naqoura.

For its part, the Israeli army said that the alarm sirens had not sounded and that an investigation had been launched.

In Lebanon, a civilian was injured as a result of a raid that targeted the village of Dhayra.

Meanwhile, United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) spokesperson Andrea Tenenti warned against a larger conflict at the southern border. He said in a television statement, “There is a possibility that tensions will expand further in the border area,” pointing out that the UNIFIL “has channels of communication with the Lebanese authorities and the Israeli army to avoid any widespread conflict.”

Earlier in the day, Israel bombed Wadi Assafir (Khiam), Dhayra, Yarin and Maroun al-Ras, as well as the outskirts of Wazzani (Marjayoun caza), Naqoura, Jebbayn, Chihine, Alma al-Shaab, Halta, Kfarchouba, Kfar Hammam, Aitaroun, Hula, Wadi Dallafe and Rachaya al-Foukhar. They also fired two bombs at a house in Mohaybib. No casualties were reported.

Phosphorus bombs were also dropped on Khallet Ballout (between Hula and Markaba), Khiam and Kfar Kila. The Israeli army also fired incendiary bombs at Aita al-Shaab-Bistane, causing fires in the region’s forests. Bombing damage was reported in other areas as well, including Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras, Khiam, Kfar Kila and the region between Hula and Markaba. Israeli aircraft also breached the sound barrier on several occasions in the Nabatieh, Iqlim al-Tuffah and Jezzine areas.

In this context, the Israeli army’s Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adrae, stated on his X account that the Israeli army had carried out attacks against Hezbollah targets in five different regions in southern Lebanon. He said that “Israeli military aircraft destroyed two missile launching pads” belonging to the pro-Iranian group in the regions of “Zebqine and Aita al-Shaab,” as well as “three Hezbollah military installations in Odaisseh, Blida and Markaba”.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on the Iron Dome platform in the Ramot Naftali barracks, destroying it. The pro-Iranian group also announced that it had targeted the Sammaqa site in the Kfarchouba hills, the Kosh position and gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the al-Baghdadi, Birkat Risha, Zebdin and Malkiya positions.
