Caretaker Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi asserted that “security apparatuses are exerting greater efforts to uncover crimes as fast as possible.”
Mawlawi’s comments came after meeting Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian on Tuesday.
“We are more and more imposing order in Beirut,” he said.
On Syrian displacement, Mawlawi revealed that the Mufti stressed the importance of refugees’ safe return to Syria, in accordance with legal procedures.
