The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel intensified on Saturday afternoon, following a morning marked by the deaths of three Hezbollah fighters in an Israeli raid on the Naqoura highway.

In the afternoon, Israeli artillery bombarded the southwestern sector of Mays al-Jabal, setting fire to the village’s neighborhoods but causing no casualties.

Other villages targeted were Tayr Harfa, Jebbayn, Wazzani, Aita al-Shaab, Wadi Slouki, Majdelzoun, Ramya, and the outskirts of Markaba and Bani Hayan (eastern sector).

Israeli raids were launched on the outskirts of Rachaya al-Foukhar (Khraybeh) and Labbouneh, while smoke shells were dropped on Kfar Kila.

A drone attack also targeted a house in Ramya, causing no injuries.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on Israeli soldiers near Jal el-Allam, and another on an Israeli artillery position in Zaoura.

In addition, Israeli MK-type surveillance aircraft flew at medium altitude over the regions of Hasbaya and the Shebaa Farms, as far as the Western Bekaa and Iqlim al-Tuffah.
