At a time when the US fears an Israeli incursion into Lebanon in late spring or early summer, according to information relayed on Thursday by the American channel CNN, southern Lebanon continues to be the scene of attacks between Hezbollah and the Hebrew state.

On Thursday morning, rockets were launched from Israel towards the outskirts of Naqoura, and the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab in the central sector were attacked by Israeli heavy machine-gun fire. A small drone also fell near Labbouneh.

Wednesday night to Thursday was also punctuated by flares fired over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line, while Israeli military and reconnaissance aircraft flew over the western and central sectors, as well as the outskirts of Tyre.

For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted a group of Israeli soldiers deployed near the Jal el-Alam site.

On Wednesday evening, the towns of Kafra in Nabatieh and Sadikin in southern Lebanon were subjected to a series of Israeli raids, causing material damage to homes and water and electricity infrastructures, resulting in the deaths of a man (Hussein Ali Hamdan) and his wife (Manar Ahmad Abbadi) in Kafra. Over 14 civilians were also injured and taken to the hospital in Tyre.

This is the third raid on the town of Sadikin in two days’ time.
